The Team

Teachers & Staff

Our dedicated and highly qualified dance teachers are devoted to supporting the growth of our students by creating a learning environment filled with positivity and encouragement. At Linda Virgoe Dance Studios, we are committed to nurturing each individual student, enabling them to develop the passion and confidence in their aptitude for dancing and performing.

Our Principal

Linda Virgoe

Dip RBS TTC, ISTD DDE, RAD Registered, BBO Associate teacher.

I have been dancing for over 47 years and have always had a passion to inspire other dancers.

As well as receiving expert ballet tuition from some of the most highly regarded dance teachers in the country, including Dame Ninette De Valois, she also became fluent in Repertoire, Character, National, Spanish, Benesh Notation, Anatomy and History of Ballet.

Modern, Tap, Jazz & Acrobatic Arts

Amy Daffurn

Amy is the daughter of Linda and trained at LVDS before continuing her training as a dancer and teacher at The Centre Performing Arts College in London. After dancing and choreographing for events in London, Amy made the decision to join the family business as a partner in the studio. She is involved in the daily running of the studios, as well as teaching and Choreographing. Amy is also one of our skilled acrobatic Arts teachers.

Studio Manager

Sarah Stewart

Sarah is a fully qualified dance teacher.  As well as managing the studio you will also find her teaching Tap lessons to our younger students. 

Modern, Tap & Jazz

Megan Birchley 

Megan trained at LVDS and, after dancing for several events across London and locally, she decided to continue her teaching qualifications with Janet Marshall. Megan is now a fully qualified ISTD and BBO teacher and it is lovely to have her as a member of staff teaching at the studios.

Competition Choreography

Debbie Handley

Debbie is an ex professional dancer and teaches various dance and musical theatre classes alongside creating choreography for competition pieces.

Audition Prep

& Musical Theatre

Sharna Townsley

Sharna trained in physical theatre, dance and performing Arts at Salford University and Gloucester University. After performing, Sharna went on to teach dance and drama in schools and is now a lecturer of performing arts at Gloucester college.

Acrobatic Arts

Ellie Maynard

Ellie graduated from Bird College of dance as a qualified Acrobatic Arts teacher.
