Aerial Dance
Aerial dance can be performed using a variety of apparatus for suspension from fabric, to rope, trapeze, hoop or harness. These apparatuses allow the dancer to move freely in the air and perform highly skilled manoeuvres, exploring space in three dimensions.
Aerial Silks
Aerial Silks is the art of moving through the air while suspended from two pieces of fabric. This form of aerial dancing is one of the classic aerial circuses disciplines you will often see in performances. The beauty and drama of this art is a marvel for audiences, featuring drops, spins and stunning shapes, performed by the dancer as they are gracefully intertwined between the two pieces of fabric and suspended high above the ground.
For beginners, training starts low off the ground while the dancer becomes acquainted with climbs and inverts. We work on building the strength and stamina of the individual to enable them to develop the skills to perform more complex sequences higher up.
